Real Life Stories

  • Peter Kent - Peter's family has a long history in the village of Aston Abbotts and he lived there as a young boy during the second world war.

  • Vojta Levin - Vojta serverd in the Czech Briagade and volunteered for guard duty at Aston Abbotts before the fixed Czechoslovak Guard were in place.

  • Victor Scott - Victor has lived in Aston Abbotts all his life. He is a well known naturalist and was a friend of Dr. and Mrs. Beneš. It was from Victor's suggestion that the roses from Lidice were planted in Aston Abbotts during the May 2005 weekend.

  • Frank Schwelb - Frank's father was a lawyer in Czechoslovakia and the family escaped just before the outbreak of WW2.
