Summary: 'The Czech Connection' tells the story of the Czechoslovak government in exile during the second world war through photographs and captions. It includes a chronology of events covering the Munich Agreement in 1938 and the Czechs coming to to Britain through to the Communist revolution in 1948 and Czechs again coming back to Britain. The two main characters covered by the book are Edvard Beneš and Jan Masaryk.
The book includes approximately 140 photographs and illustrations. The photographs were taken in London and Buckinghamshire and most of these have never been published before. Some of the stories have never been conveyed either as the people interviewed have never before spoken about their experiences.
